I have ordered from the Fermoy Supermac's several times because my son enjoys the Margherita pizza. Unfortunately, I have noticed that both the food quality and service have been declining over time.
A few days ago, I ordered a pizza that was extremely disappointing. The cheese was burnt, and the dough was so thin and overcooked that it became dry and hard within minutes. My son refused to eat it, and I ended up throwing it away. To their credit, they replaced the pizza when I complained, but the replacement was only slightly better and still far below the standard I would expect.
I have visited other Supermac's branches, and the difference in quality is very noticeable. The branch on Lower Glanmire Road in Cork consistently serves well-made pizzas that are properly baked and never burnt.
Another detail that bothers me is that the Fermoy branch places a tub of garlic mayo directly on top of the pizza. Not only could the outside of the tub be dirty, but it also damages the pizza. I have never seen this done in any other Supermac's branch.
Overall, this was my last order from the Fermoy branch. The lack of consistency and attention to basic food preparation standards is disappointing, especially when other branches clearly manage to provide a much better product.
